I had this goal of completing all the house stuff I wanted to do, which mainly meant hanging a lot of shelves. At any rate, towards the end of the summer, Andy helped me out with that and who knew all it took was to hang two shelves & a uten-silo to have a magic wonderland of a bedroom that I never want to leave!!
My friends Lori and Pax built this shelf and gave it to me when they no longer needed it. I’ve had it hanging in 3 different apartments now, and I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of it - it’s perfect (especially here, for the hand lotion & lip balm I put on before sleep, a tiny alarm clock, bedside reading, an LED clip-lamp and a place to put a cup of water if need be). We have a king sized bed (a top-shelf Sterns & Foster which I got for about 25% of the original price, hooray for floor models)… Lots of room, so I don’t worry about bumping my head.
And as you can see here, with all of my art supplies within an arm’s reach, and a huge cinema display that doubles as a 2nd television… who needs to ever leave! The yellow pillowcase met an unfortunate end in the washing machine with the charcoal fitted sheet and must be replaced. All of my bedding is from Bed (it’s made locally and comes in a zillion colours in nice soft textural cotton muslin).
