this was probably one of the more magical parts of the trip. our hotel had shore access, but most of the shores of kona are made up of craggy volcanic rock which is continually pounded by the violent surf. naturally, this doesn’t make for good swimming. fortunately, we were a mere 5 minute walk from this pool. abandoned by a rich person with no heirs 50 years ago, for whatever reason the...
